From a young age, I have practiced Japanese traditional arts from calligraphy to the way of flowers and tea. Over the years, I expanded my expertise to include traditional dance, shamisen, etiquette, and more.
After living abroad for 22 years and visiting 20 countries, I've developed a deep appreciation for Japanese culture and etiquette. Yet, I've noticed that they are often misunderstood or overlooked outside of Japan.
This realization inspired me to launch Kumiko’s Way of Japan, and started to distribute the information over Instagram, and it reached more than184K followers worldwide. My mission is to foster understanding among visitors and people who have interests in Japan and enjoy with respect.

Welcome to Seven Co., the foundation of Kumiko's Way of Japan, where tradition is honored and cherished in modern lifestyles with respect and appreciation. Founded in 1926 by Kikutaro Shichijo and his brother, Shinakichi Kawahara, Seven Co. began as a humble enterprise specializing in refreshing beverages and quality food products. Our brands, Seven Juice and Seven Konnyaku, quickly won the hearts of locals, rooted in community appreciation.
Over the years, our commitment to excellence led to growth. In 1949, we became a limited liability company, fully incorporating in 1967 with new manufacturing facilities. Expanding further, we established office and warehouse spaces in 1968. In 1978, responding to changing markets, we diversified into real estate management, ensuring sustainable growth.
In line with our dedication to Japanese culture, we transitioned into providing lectures, workshops, and retreats, offering immersive experiences to share the essence of Japan with the world. Guided by Japan's timeless values, we continue to cultivate a space where tradition harmonizes with contemporary living.
